Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and the ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) plan to replace the entire deck of the Honoré Mercier Bridge,
apart from the downstream bridge, which falls under provincial jurisdiction, spanning
the St. Lawrence River between piers 15 and 1A. Under agreements on the management
of this major project, JCCBI will be responsible for project management and will
coordinate all aspects of the work.
The project has been divided into two main design-build contracts,
namely Contract A and Contract B.
