The work will be done in three stages: spring 2008 to December 2008; early April 2009 to December 2009;
and early April 2010 to October 2010.
Between construction periods, the bridge will operate as it normally does and all lanes will be open
during rush hour.
All work on the lanes on the bridge in 2009 and 2010 will be subject to lane closing schedules that
will be announced prior to the start of work.
Under said schedules, most of the work will be done at night, that is, between 8:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.,
and on weekends depending on the reserve capacity of the nearby bridges.
Measures will be taken to ensure reserve capacity on the other bridges so that they can handle
increased demand when work is being done and lanes are closed.
An established procedure will be used whenever lanes are closed and reopened in order to ensure
the safety of users and workers and ensure that emergency vehicles have access at all times.
