The Tunnel
Location
The Melocheville Tunnel, an extension of Highway 132, is located in
Melocheville near the Beauharnois hydro-electric power station on the
southwest shore of Montreal. The tunnel is located directly under the St.
Lawrence Seaway and permits uninterrupted road and marine traffic.
Traffic
Approximately 4.5 million vehicles travel through the tunnel every year.
